ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER ISSUES NOTICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY POWER OUTAGE EVENT

6/20/2025

Attention Paragonah Residents:  Over 4600 Rocky Mountain Power customers in southern and central Utah can expect to lose power on Satruday, June 21, as the power company plans to shut off power to help mitigate the risk of sparking a wildfire.  In an update on Friday, the power company upgraded its previously issued Public Safety Power Watch to a Warning for portions of Cedar City, Dixie, Enterprise Vally, Milford and Richfield, Utah.  The Warning means Rocky Mountain Power plans to de-energize its power lines within the next 24 hours.  Other portions of Cedar City, Panguitch, and Richfield remain under a Watch and are advised to still prepare for potential outages over the weekend.  The warning runs from 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, through 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 22.  Rocky Mountain Power urged customers to have a plan in place in case of a power outage, such as assembling an emergency kit with a gallon of water per person, non-perishable food, and solar-powered phone chargers.  A map showing the potentially impacted areas can be found on the Rocky Mountain Power wesbsite https://www.rockymountainpower.net/outages-safety/wildfire-safety/public-safety-power-shutoff-event

As of now it does not look like Paragonah is included in the warning but please be prepared just in case.
