JOB OPPORTUNITY -PARAGONAH TOWN

Now Hiring: Town Maintenance Worker Public Works Department
Status: Full-Time with Benefits
Salary: $ 25/hr.
Location: Paragonah Town

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our Public Works department. As a Town Maintenance Worker, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure our town’s infrastructure, parks, and facilities remain safe, functional, and beautiful for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Roads: Repair potholes, maintain drainage systems, and assist with snow and ice removal during winter, keep weeds mowed on town right-of-way, and install signs.
Groundskeeping: Mow lawns at cemetery, town square and parking strip on main street, trim trees, pick up roadside debris.
Facility Upkeep: Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs on town-owned buildings.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate light and heavy machinery, including pickup trucks, dump trucks, backhoe, mowers, and power tools.
Water System: Install and maintain water lines and water system including chlorinator.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Possession of a valid driver’s license. (Class A or B CDL preferred)
Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50–60 lbs.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Previous experience preferred.
